About Me
Having spent the last 16 years of my professional life at one of the world's largest banks (by market capitalization) as a Personal Banker, I have helped thousands of people through financially stressful times. I am what they call a professional financial planner, although this term really means nothing in the area of personal finance. In fact, your average financial planner is really an investment adviser looking to sell investment or insurance products that yield big commissions. That puts most of us in the same arena as mortgage brokers. For these advisers, their advice will be driven by which investment or insurance company is paying the biggest incentive that week, month, quarter, etc..
Since I receive no commission from providing this information, I really don't care if you follow my tips and advice. I have no vested interest in an ongoing relationship because you will not be giving me big investment checks or paying for bigger insurance policies year after year. Think about that... if I'm getting no commission, will I give good advice or bad? Will I be impartial or biased? Since I do not benefit from an ongoing relationship, will I force you to make this investment or take that insurance policy?
Exactly.
You are in control here. You always are. And with the knowledge you will receive here, you always will be.
I want you to get to the same knowledget level as your commissioned or salaried financial planners and advisers. (Trust me, after doing this for sixteen years, nine to five, seven days every week, it's really not hard!).
Follow this blog and you will see.
