As noted on our Home Page, I have over sixteen (16) years of experienced at one of the world's largest financial institutions (by market capitalization). As a Personal Banker (Financial Advisor is my official title), I literally work with thousands of people, helping them achieve their dreams insofar as personal finance is concerned. Here are my areas of expertise:
- Residential mortgages.
- Debt repayment strategies.
- Personal investments and retirement strategies
- Mutual Fund investments and analysis
- Financial statement analysis
- Equity instrument analysis
- Derivative fundamentals (commodities and equities)
Notice how I did not include any of the following areas in my "expertise" list. This does not mean I don't know about these areas, but you will find that I will only reluctantly ever discuss them. It does not mean these areas are not important to me or to you in terms of your financial plan. In fact, Insurance (listed below) is extremely important. As I did when I worked in the industry, I will do the same here: advise you to seek a qualified professional with your specific insurance questions.
- commercial finance
- insurance (including, but not limited to sophisticated estate planning strategies that aim to offset estate tax implications and/or legacy ownership of family assets and businesses)
- medical/professional finance
- law
- private banking
- and many, many more areas :)
With personal finance encompassing so many areas, nobody is an expert in all areas. The aim of How to Repay Debt - a Debt-Free Blog is primarily to educate. My objective is to bring readers to the same level as the "experts" in the industry. Since many of us cannot buy certain investment products or get ourselves out of debt on their own, we need to have relationships with these experts. This blog exists so that people won't get taken advantage of simply for the sake of lining the pockets of their trusted advisers.
Stop getting screwed!
And let's get to that debt-free status together.
